We had intended to release Issue #2 on Sept. 1st. Due to being slammed by show after show, interview after interview, and only two full-time staffers (that work countless other jobs), well, we're looking at Oct. or maybe even Nov. It may take us days just to sift through all the content and decide who makes the cut! Stay tuned.

UM is accepting editorial pieces (cd and concert reviews only) for all issues until further notice. You must live in upstate NY and or be an established musician in the industry for consideration. UM will not guarantee placement in this or any issue of UMM. Please keep articles to 350 words or less for each subject. Deadline to submit for potential placement in the September 2009, Issue II of UMM is August 30th at noon. Please send to usptatemetal@gmail.com

Upstate Metal Magazine, a subdivision of UpstateLIVE Music Guide, has been tossed out of the nest. We have gotten to big, hard, and heavy for our own good. Our first solo issue comes complete with interviews, CD reviews, photos, and more! We are updating our website...a work in progress...hey! we're a little busy covering all of upstate NY!

We intend to get bigger and add some color to our lives, so please join our street team, our sales team, help us spread the word, or place an ad. We are currently a free, b/w 6x9 magazine. Approx. 5000 copies distributed monthly throughout upstate, except for Nov/Dec and Jan/Feb.

Our first issue includes: Cannibal Corpse, DÅÅTH, Bury Your Dead, Dope, His Name Was Yesterday, Brick by Brick, The Designer Drugs, and more!
